We are proud to be an award winning print agency, not simply for the accolades but for the outputs. We take pride in our work and love to produce the best products possible! We also love a challenge! We didn’t always run a print agency, and we certainly didn’t always have digital printers in our arsenal. We are far too old for that.
Jason and Lorraine Mills started out typesetting in the garage behind the family home in 1986 but was incorporated in 1987. The kids, even helped a bit too – two of them still are! From film and bromides to using the waxer – school projects when attempted became pretty fun!
By 1992 the company was a little bit too big for the family garage and moved to premises in Epsom as the world changed from film based in the creation of printing to plates, and quickly behind it, computers.
Not long after, we were digital printers. Jason and Lorraine continued to evolve the business into a company producing layouts and artwork, eventually buying and selling many magazine publications and targeted newspapers
In the year 2000 we moved away from having ‘typesetting’ in the branding by moving into our own building and rebranding as Mills Color Comp and from here we navigated through many iterations of technology and branding. From Mills Color Comp to Kingsland Print and finally as Fuzed in 2013. We have stayed up to date with digital trends, remaining at the forefront of innovation.
In keeping with our mission of innovation, in 2012 we acquired Outer Aspect, a Lenticular imagery company and began producing large lenticular images for companies and artists here in NZ and all around the world.
Our next big development in technology came in 2013 when we acquired our first HP Indigo digital press and Scodix Ultra Pro machine. These opened up, not just a new world of printing to us but the ability to create our 3D Overgloss and Digital Braille Systems that have become so sought after across the globe. Later that year we also acquired The Printing Express and Digital Edge a well established Auckland print company with roots in offset printing and digital printing on an Indigo Press.
In 2020 after upgrading our machines across the company we bought all aspects of the print business into the one premises; Digital, wide format, offset and lenticular. All the while expanding and perfecting our lenticular process to include our fine gauge lenticular imagery suitable for busines cards, post cards, posters and pretty much anything you can think of. With this, alongside our heavy gauge, nicely rounds off our lenticular offerings…for now.

We are pretty proud of our team, our machines and the printing that we produce, we take the best of these and enter them in the annual NZ Pride in Print Awards, and we usually leave with a number of gold medals as a reward.
